Women's Tennis Completes Day One of the Michigan Invite

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - DePaul women's tennis finished day one of the Michigan Invitational on the courts of the Varsity Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.
Ana Vladutu saw the lone victory for DePaul in its first competition of the season.
Vladutu defeated Kara Hall from Michigan 6-3, 0-6, 6-4.
Three Blue Demons faced ranked Wolverines in singles play. DePaul's own ranked player, No. 87 Yuliya Shupenia fell 6-2, 6-4 to No. 20 Kate Fahey. Aspasia Avgeri dropped 6-2, 6-3 to No. 78 Chiara Lommer while Keisha Clousing fell 6-4, 6-1 to No. 80 Brienne Minor.
The Blue Demons return tomorrow and challenge Tennessee in singles at 10 a.m. and Michigan in doubles at 1 p.m.
