Women's Tennis Begins Dual Play This Weekend

CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis team begins dual play this weekend with matches against Valparaiso and Harvard. The Blue Demons travel to Valparaiso, Indiana for a 2 p.m. match against the Crusaders on Saturday, Jan. 21 and return home for a 1 p.m. start against the Crimson on Sunday.
Sunday's match against Harvard marks DePaul's first of seven home events at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.
The Blue Demons enter weekend play after participating in the Michigan Invitational last weekend.
Yuliya Shupenia, the No. 87 ranked singles player in the country, boasted two singles victories for DePaul. The senior defeated No. 64 Brittany Lindl from Tennessee and No. 63 Kassidy Jump from Arizona State to lead the Blue Demons.
Valpo (0-1) welcomes DePaul after dropping its first dual match 7-0 at Western Michigan last weekend. The teams will battle on the Courts of NWI.
Harvard opens its dual season at Northwestern on Saturday before heading down to Lakeshore. The Crimson features Alexis Milunovich who is tied as the No. 111th ranked singles player.
Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is located at 1320 W. Fullerton Ave. The match is free for all to attend.
