Blue Demons look to finish conference play undefeated heading into the postseason
CHICAGO, Ill. – To conclude the 2026 BIG EAST regular season, women's tennis welcomes the Xavier Musketeers to XS Tennis Village on Saturday, April 4 at 3:30 p.m. CT. Fresh off a spring break road trip to Florida, where it fell at Florida International and at Florida Atlantic, DePaul sets its sights on finishing the season strong.
CONFERENCE COOKING
The Blue Demons have started the season 6-0 in BIG EAST play, and are looking to finish the conference regular season undefeated for the first time in 10 years. In 2016, DePaul closed the season with five straight conference wins, coming into the BIG EAST Championships with ample momentum. Since then, DePaul has won the conference tournament twice, in 2017 and 2019, collecting 5-2 and 6-2 BIG EAST records in those campaigns.
EXACTING XAVIER
In 2021 and 2023, DePaul finished league play with only one loss, with both defeats coming against Xavier. The Musketeers have also prevailed in each of the last eight matchups with the Blue Demons, dating back to 2021. Additionally, Xavier has won the last five consecutive BIG EAST Championships, overcoming DePaul in three of those title bouts. The Blue Demons look to end both streaks this season, with 2026 Xavier having its worst winning percentage of any of their consecutive title years.
