
Men's Tennis Blanks Chicago State 7-0

CHICAGO - The DePaul men's tennis team extended its win streak to four matches with a 7-0 victory over Chicago State Friday night at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.
In doubles play, Nathan de Veer and Boris Spanjaard defeated Cody Wurzelbacher and Rohan Wattley 6-3 at the No. 2 spot. The Cougars (0-4) won at No. 1, but DePaul (4-0) clinched the doubles point due to default at No. 3.
de Veer is now 4-0 on the season at No. 1 singles courtesy of a 6-1, 6-2 finish over Felix Savard tonight.
Tim Corwin played the No. 2 spot for the first time this season, defeating Gonzalo Martinez 6-1, 6-3.
Spanjaard bested Wattley 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 as Tamas Zador pulled out a 6-3, 0-6, 10-8 victory over Christian Gonzalez at No. 4.
Yahn Gawrit's match at No. 5 singles was retired while the No. 6 spot went to DePaul due to default.
DePaul is back at home for its fifth of seven straight matches at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness on Friday, Feb. 3 to take on Monmouth.
