Clousing, Lancranjan Set for ITA Quarterfinals

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Keisha Clousing and Patricia Lancranjan have advanced into the doubles quarterfinals of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships at Michigan's Varsity Tennis Center.
The Blue Demon tandem topped Daniela Novak and Asuka Kawai of Illinois 8-6 on Saturday.
They will take on Erin Larner and Maddie Lipp of Northwestern at 8 a.m. Sunday.
In singles action, Lancranjan won her opening match 6-1, 6-2 over Toledo's Colleen O'Brien. Lancranjan then went up against the country's No. 6-ranked singles player, Kate Fahey of Michigan, and fell 6-0, 6-3.
Alina Kuzmenkova dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Rheeya Doshi of Northwestern. Aspasia Avgeri lost a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 match to Kawai. Clousing gave Ohio State's Mary Beth Hurley a battle before falling 6-3, 7-6 (5).
