PORTLAND, Ore. - DePaul and Oregon meet on the second day of the PK80 on Friday night in Portland, Ore. The game is just the third between the two programs. DePaul won both previous meetings in the 1939-40 and 1941-42 seasons.
Friday's game can be seen on ESPNU and heard on WSCR 670 AM.
The Blue Demons will play either Oklahoma or Portland on the final day of the event on Sunday depending on the outcome of Friday's games.
DePaul dropped a 73-51 decision to No. 4/5 Michigan State while Oregon lost to Connecticut, 71-63.
Eli Cain and Max Strus scored 12 points to lead the Blue Demons against the Spartans. Strus went 10-for-10 from the free throw line while Cain added teams highs of four rebounds and two assists. Tre'Darius McCallum added 11 points and four assists.
The Michigan State game was the first this season that DePaul didn't have four players scoring in double-figures.
Strus' perfect game from the free throw line marked just the 24th occurrence in program history of a player making at least 10 free throws in a game without a miss.
Head coach Dave Leitao is in his third season of his second stint at DePaul. He led the program from 2002-05 before returning in March 2015.
