Blue Demons Meet UIC for Saturday Matinee

CHICAGO - The Blue Demons venture just three miles south on Halsted Street for a Saturday afternoon game against the UIC Flames. DePaul plays its second game of three over a six-day stretch that started Wednesday night at Wintrust Arena with an 85-57 win over Central Connecticut. Following Saturday's action at UIC, the Blue Demons return to Wintrust Arena on Monday, Dec. 11 against Alabama A&M.
Saturday's game will be televised on NBC Sports Chicago with Jordan Bernfield (play-by-play) and Jonathan Hood (analyst) handling the television duties. The game can also be seen online and on mobile devices with WatchESPN. DePaul's radio tandem of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Laurence Holmes (analyst) can be heard on WSCR 670 AM as well as online on BlueTube at www.depaulbluedemons.com. UIC is 3-5 through eight games after snapping a three-game skid with a 76-48 win over UW-Parkside on Wednesday. The Blue Demons stand at 4-4 with three straight wins. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his sixth season at DePaul and his third since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2017-18 campaign is Leitao's 12th as a head coach at the collegiate level. UIC is led by Steve McClain who is in his third season leading the Flames.
Noting the Blue Demons: The men's basketball program is 1,441-991 (.593) all-time... the Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 747 straight games...
