No. 2 Villanova Defeats DePaul

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Chris Harrison-Docks scored 18 points to lead the Blue Demons, but No. 2/2 Villanova built an early lead and defeated the Blue Demons, 75-62, on Monday night. Eli Cain added 12 points and eight rebounds for DePaul.
Villanova (25-2, 12-2 BIG EAST) started the scoring on a 10-2 run before Harrison-Docks and Tre'Darius McCallum combined to keep the Blue Demons with striking distance, but trailing 18-9.
The Wildcats opened up the game with a 21-9 run and took a 39-18 lead at the break.
DePaul (8-18, 1-12 BIG EAST) was held without a basket for the first four-plus minutes of the second half. The Blue Demons started to chip away with a 13-4 run, but could come no closer than 12 points late in the game.
Jalen Brunson led Villanova with 18 points and Josh Hart added 16 points.
DePaul goes on the road next Sunday with an afternoon game at Butler. Start time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET on FS1 and WSCR 670 AM.
