Kintyhtt Secures Fourth Weekly Honor of Season

CHICAGO - For the fourth time this indoor season, the BIG EAST awarded senior thrower Trevor Kintyhtt the BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Kintyhtt eclipsed the 20-meter mark for the fifth time this year on Saturday at the Chicagoland Championships. The senior won the event with a throw of 20.05 meters. The mark was the fifth time this season Kintyhtt has recorded a throw greater than 20 meters.

The Akron, Ohio native leads the BIG EAST in the event and is the only thrower in the conference to surpass 18 meters this season.

Kintyhtt and the Blue Demons are just 10 days away from the BIG EAST Championships on Feb. 24 and 25 in Ocean Breeze, N.Y.
