Men's Tennis Sweeps Cleveland State 7-0

CHICAGO - DePaul men's tennis swept Cleveland State 7-0 to wrap up its regular season campaign and finish the home season undefeated for the first time since 2009.
The Blue Demons (15-9, 4-0 BIG EAST) jumped to an early lead by claiming the doubles point. Alex Galoustian and Nathan de Veer defeated Benjamin Slade and Mirko Radosevic 6-1 at the top spot while Tim Corwin and Boris Spanjaard defeated Colton Buffington and Kevin Goth at No. 2 6-2.
The wins for the four carried over into singles action.
de Veer defeated Nico Mostardi in a three-set fashion 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 at the top spot.
Corwin took down Buffington at No. 2 6-4, 6-1, while Galoustian was victorious over Slafde 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (1) at No. 3.
Spanjaard got the best of Goth at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-1 mark.
Freshmen Christopher Casati and Fran Tonejc also added to DePaul's 15th win of the season. Casati bested Mirko Radosevic 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (5), while Tonejc won his match at No. 6 over William Malm 6-4, 6-4.
Up next, the Blue Demons head to the BIG EAST Conference Tournament in Cayce, S.C. April 28-30. The winners of the tournament earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
