CHICAGO ââ'¬" The BIG EAST released its men's soccer weekly honors on Monday, naming DePaul sophomore Sasa Labovic its Defensive Player of the Week.
Labovic, a Schererville, Ind. native, was a key contributor to DePaul's 3-1 win over Drake on Sept. 8 as the defender dished out two of the three Blue Demon assists in the match. He attributed to a scoreless first half of play for DePaul where the Blue Demons did not surrender a Bulldog goal until 84th minute. The backline held Drake to just seven shots in the match with only two landing on goal.
