Cross Country Finishes Strong at Season Opener

ROMEOVILLE, IL - DePaul men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Flames / Flyer Opener on Saturday. The Blue Demon men raced a 6K against Chicago State, Lewis, Marquette, Illinois-Chicago, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. On the women's side, the Blue Demons matched up in the 4K against Chicago State, Lewis, Marquette, Illinois-Chicago, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
The top finisher for the men's squad was Noah Deck with a time of 19:25.45 in the 6K. Deck's run contributed 13 points. Miranda Rae was the top finisher for the Blue Demons' women's team, placing 26. Rae clocked in 15:19.64 to score 24 points in the women's 4K.
