Volleyball Drops Match to Seton Hall

CHICAGO- The DePaul volleyball team fell to Seton Hall, 3-0 (23-25, 23-25, 20-25) on Saturday evening at McGrath-Phillips Arena. This makes the Blue Demons 7-8 overall and 1-2 in the BIG EAST.
Seton Hall jumped out to an 8-4 advantage in the first set, prompting a DePaul timeout. The Blue Demons battled their way back with five kills from both Caitlyn Coffey and Brittany Maxwell. Seton Hall won the set, 25-23.
Maxwell tied the second set, 23-23, but the Pirates would score the next two points, winning the close set, 25-23. Seton Hall finished the game in the third set with a 25-20 set win.
DePaul volleyball is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 27 as the Blue Demons travel to Indianapolis to take on Butler.
Match Notes
- Kelsey Horvath racked up 34 assists.
- Haley Bueser led DePaul with 14 digs.
- Brittany Maxwell contriubted a team-high of 13 kills and 27 digs.
