Richards Named to #BEFutbol Weekly Honor Roll

CHICAGO - After tallying both a goal and an assists in last week's matchups, forward Jack Richards has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.Â
He scored the game-tying goal in DePaul's draw against in-state rival Northwestern and notched an assist on Max de Bruijne's goal against Butler on Saturday.ÂThe freshman from Downer's Grove has one goal, two assists and four points this season. He has started in 10 matches, played in 13 and has put up 16 shots for the Blue Demons.Â

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Luka Prpa, Marquette, Jr., M
Prpa posted a BIG EAST-high four points last week, all coming in Saturday's 4-0 win over St. John's. The junior assisted on Josh Coan's 41st-minute game winner, before adding a penalty kick insurance score 24 minutes later. He added one more helper in the 73rd for the four-point night, second-highest in the BIG EAST this season.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Steven Kilday, Providence, Sr., D
Kilday led the Friars on both ends of the field on Friday night at Seton Hall, holding the Pirates without a shot on goal for nearly 102 minutes before scoring the golden goal in the second overtime frame. Providence outshot SHU 13-5, 5-0 on target, and held Seton Hall without a corner all contest. The goal was Kilday's first of the year.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Luis Barraza, Marquette, Sr., GK
Barraza earned his fourth shutout of the season with six saves against St. John's on Saturday night. Barraza made four second-half stops as the Golden Eagles pulled away for the 4-0 win. The senior averages a BIG EAST-high 5.33 saves per contest, while ranking second in the league with a 0.75 goals against average.
 BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Logan Lee, Butler, Fr., M/F
Lee scored the 82nd-minute game winner for Butler at DePaul on Saturday to lead the Bulldogs to their first BIG EAST win of the season. Lee posted a game-high three shots as well. The goal was Lee's first collegiate score.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Tor Trosten, Creighton, Jr., M
Trosten had a goal and an assist in Friday's 3-1 win at Xavier to keep the Bluejays undefeated in BIG EAST play. The junior assisted on Sven Koenig's goal just 2:45 into the contest while adding an insurance score in the 84th minute.
Jack Richards, DePaul, Fr., F
Richards had a goal and assist last week, scoring the game-tying goal in the 32nd minute in DePaul's 1-1 draw at Northwestern, while providing the helper on the Blue Demons' lone score in a 3-1 setback to Butler on Saturday.
Oliver Posarelli, Marquette, Jr., D
Posarelli helped keep St. John's off the scoreboard on Saturday night, particularly Red Storm leading scorer Matt Forster. The Golden Eagles outshot St. John's 14-12, including 10-6 on goal, to pick up their second shutout win of BIG EAST play.
Ramzi Qawasmy, Providence, Fr., D
Qawasmy helped the Friar defense to a shutout win at Seton Hall on Friday night, holding the Pirates without a shot on goal in the double-overtime victory. The rookie also posted a season-high three shots, including one on goal.
Brendan McDonough, Georgetown, Sr., D
In a pair of double-overtime contests for the Hoyas, McDonough aided on both sides of the fall, helping to shutout Maryland on Monday while assisting on Riley Strassner's golden goal against Villanova on Saturday. GU held a solid 48-27 margin in shots over the 1-0-1 week.
