
Wolf Leads DePaul in Final Round at EKU Intercollegiate

Freshman finishes in tie for 13th in first collegiate event
RICHMOND, Ky. – DePaul freshman Campbell Wolf carded an even-par 70 to lead the Blue Demons in the final round of the EKU Intercollegiate. Playing in his first collegiate event, Wolf finished in a tie for 13th over the 54 holes of competition.
Wolf followed rounds of 72 and 72 on Saturday with a 70 (E) in the third circuit of the University Club at Arlington. Joe McCarthy followed Wolf in a tie for 35th following a 75 (+5) on Sunday. Wolf posted a tournament score of 214 (+4) and McCarthy finished with a score of 219 (+9).
Bobby Thomas finished in a group in 56th place with a tournament score of 223 (+13). Thomas recorded a 76 (+6) on Sunday. Carlo Antonio Gatmaytan rounded out the DePaul contingent as his 76 (+6) in the third round gave him a 54-hole total of 232 (+22).
Eastern Michigan won the team title with a score of 838 (-2) while DePaul was 14th with a score of 888 (+48). Kyle Slattery of SIU-Edwardsville defeated Eastern Kentucky's Billy Basham in a one-hole playoff after both finished with a tournament-best scores of 205 (-5).
Up next for the Blue Demons is the SIUE Dereck Dolenc Invitational on Sept. 24-25. The three-round, two-day event takes place at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.
