
Blue Demons Tee It Up at SIUE

DePaul one of 17 teams competing at Gateway National Golf Links
CHICAGO – The DePaul golf team is set for three rounds over Monday and Tuesday at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational. The 54-hole event will be played at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill., with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Both days will start at 8:15 a.m. with Gateway National providing a par 71 layout over 7,092 yards. Competing for the Blue Demons at the event are Joe McCarthy, Carlo Antonio Gatmaytan, Bobby Thomas, Charlie Spencer-White and Campbell Wolf.
DePaul is one of 17 teams playing at the event hosted by SIU-Edwardsville. Also participating is Bradley, Creighton, Drake, Eastern Illinois, Iowa Western CC, Loyola-Chicago, Missouri State, Murray State, Northern Iowa, Omaha, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, Valparaiso, Weber State and Western Illinois.
Fall Recap: EKU Intercollegiate – Campbell Wolf led DePaul in his first collegiate event... Wolf (214, +4) finished in a tie for 13th... Joe McCarthy posted the best round by a Blue Demon with a 69 (-1) in the second round... DePaul finished 14th out of 15 teams.
Looking Ahead: The Blue Demons have three more events following the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational. DePaul plays at the Dayton Flyer Invitational on Oct. 15-16 followed by Xavier's Muskies Classic on Oct. 22-23. The final event of the fall scheduled is a match against Loyola-Chicago on Oct. 29. The spring slate opens on Feb. 11-12 at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play hosted by Ball State in Dade City, Fla.
