DePaul Set to Race in Vic Godfrey Open

CHICAGO – The DePaul men's and women's cross country teams will travel to the Vic Godfrey Open on Saturday, Sept. 8. The meet will be held in Kenosha, Wisc. at the Wayne E. Dannehl Natonal Cross Country Course.

The men's team will kick off the meet, hosted by Wisconsin Parkside, with an 8K at 10:30 a.m. followed by the women's 5K at 11:15 a.m. The Blue Demon squads will face many notable teams on Saturday including Marquette, Loyola and Kansas State.

On the women's side, Ericka Burgess, Lorie Cashdollar, Lizzie DeJoie, Maret Elgren, Margaret Hastings, Kate Jacobs, Mackenzie Mescher, Courtney Pickering, Miranda Rea, Talia Saleh and Emma Stephens will be competing in the 5K. Rea, who led the Blue Demons in all competitions last season, earned 5^th place with a time of 18:35.2 to lead the squad to a third place finish.

Chris Ahlers, Dominic Bruce, Noah Deck, Conor Fagan, Matt Gagen, Henry Harper, Shane Knanishu, Jack Korte, Jeremy Lozano, Charlie McIntyre, Anthony Perry, Ryan Taylor and Daniel Toomey round out the roster for the men's squad competing in the 8K. The men took home second place at the event last year. Senior Noah Deck led the current roster with a time of 26:12.1 to earn 9^th place.
