Kolar Finishes in Top 10 at Musketeer Classic

Freshman one of three players in the field to post under-par round on Tuesday
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Freshman Noah Kolar led the Blue Demons with his best finish of the season at the Musketeer Classic. Kolar moved from a tie for 23rd into a tie for eighth with a one-under score of 70 in the final round.
Kolar's round of 70 was one of just three under-par rounds by the field on Tuesday. He posted a 54-hole total of 215 (+2) to finish in a four-way tie for eighth place. The third round score, tournament score and finish are all season bests for the freshman.
Stephen Sul followed Kolar in a group in 59th place while Nik Gatmaytan finished in a tie for 66th. Sullivan posted a tournament score of 227 (+14) after a 77 (+6) on Tuesday and Gatmaytan was at 230 (+17) following his score of 80 (+9) in the third round.
Perry Chong (t70th), Conor Glennon (t72nd) and Grant Boyson (t74th) rounded out play for the Blue Demons on Tuesday. Chong carded an 80 (+9) for a tournament total of 232 (+19) followed by Glennon at 233 (+20) after his final round of 79 (+8). Boyson shot a 79 (+8) in the third round to finish with a three-round score of 234 (+21).
Wisconsin won the team title with a score of 861 (+9). The Blue Demons' score of 903 (+51) put them in 12th place. Cooper Collins from Morehead State claimed medalist honors with a tournament score of 209 (-4).
DePaul concludes the first half of the 2019-20 season on Monday with a match against Loyola-Chicago. The Blue Demons and Ramblers face off at Evanston Golf Club that is preceded on Sunday with an alumni match between the two programs.
