Charlie Moore Selected to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Junior guard averaged 19.3 points, 5.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds in the three games last week
CHICAGO – DePaul's Charlie Moore was named to the first honor roll of the 2019-20 season by the BIG EAST office on Monday. Moore averaged 19.3 points, 5.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds in the three games during the first week of the season.
The Chicago native shot .606 (20-33) from the field overall including a .571 (8-14) mark from three-point range in DePaul's three victories. He also knocked down 10-of-11 attempts at the free throw line.
Moore opened his DePaul career with 14 points, five assists, three rebounds against Alcorn State before totaling 17 points, six assists and three rebounds against Chicago. In the third game of the week, he scored 27 points with four assists and two steals against Fairleigh Dickinson. It was his first 20-point game since his freshman season at California.
Markus Howard of Marquette was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week while Villanova's Jeremiah Robinson-Earl was the first Freshman of the Week for this season. Joining Moore on the honor roll was Butler's Sean McDermott, Omer Yurtseven from Georgetown, Providence's Alpha Diallo and Mustapha Heron of St. John's.
Moore and the Blue Demons play at Iowa on Monday night in the Gavitt Tipoff Games before returning to Wintrust Arena this weekend. DePaul hosts Cornell at Noon on Saturday.
