de Bruijne Named All-BIG EAST First Team

CHICAGO - Max de Bruijne of DePaul men's soccer was tabbed to the All-BIG EAST First Team, accounced by the conference on Monday. This is his second award from the conference after being named to the All-Rookie team his freshman season.

The senior defender has been a powerful mainstay in the Blue Demon back line. He has started every match of his career on Wish Field as well as scoring three goals this season including two PK conversions. The Netherlands native also recorded four assists for DePaul in 2019. Aside from earning a spot on the #BEfutbol Weekly Honor Roll three times this season, he was also named Preseason All-BIG EAST.

Announced alongside the 2019 All-Conference teams were the regular season awards. The All-BIG EAST First and Second Teams are positional with nine positional players, a goalkeeper and an at-large vote the All-BIG EAST Third Team. Continue reading below for the rest of the awards.
