Two Blue Demons Named to All-BIG EAST Team

CHICAGO - With the conclusion of the BIG EAST volleyball regular season, the conference coaches voted two Blue Demons to the All-BIG EAST Team, announced Wednesday morning by the conference office.

Senior Brittany Maxwell earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST team after finishing third in the conference in kills with 411. The Macomb, Mich. native led the Blue Demons in kills, total attacks with 1123 on the season and service aces with 31. Additionally, sophomore Donna Brown received the same honor after finishing first in the league in hitting percent with .399 and fifth in blocks with 91. Brown leads this season's DePaul team in solo blocks with 35.

Maxwell was named Preseason All-BIG EAST and was listed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice throughout the 2019 campaign. As well, she was named to the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational All-Tournament Team and was named MVP of the DePaul Invitational. Brown started off the season being named to both the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational and DePaul Invitational All-Tournament Teams after leading DePaul to a successful 8-1 start on the season.
