
Moore, Reed Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Both players averaged a double-double in two games last week
CHICAGO – DePaul's Charlie Moore and Paul Reed were each named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll today after both players averaged double-doubles in the two wins last week. The Blue Demons are 8-0 early in the 2019-20 campaign with games this week at Wintrust Arena against Texas Tech and Buffalo.
Moore was the only player in the league to record two double-doubles and averaged 19.5 points, 12.5 assists, 4.5 steals and 3.5 rebounds in games against Central Michigan and at Minnesota. He notched his first career double-double with 18 points and a career-high 13 assists against Central Michigan while adding four rebounds and four steals.
At Minnesota on Friday, Moore posted his second straight double-double with 21 points and 12 assists to along with a career-high five steals and three rebounds. Between Moore's points scored and assists, he had a hand in 49 points against Central Michigan and 50 against Minnesota. This week's honor roll is the third for Moore in four weeks this season.
Reed nearly recorded the first triple-double in program history at Minnesota with 11 points, nine rebounds and a career-high eight blocked shots. For the week, he averaged 17.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.0 blocks and 2.0 assists.
He recorded his league-leading sixth double-double of the season with a 23-point, 11-rebound effort against Central Michigan while adding four blocked shots, three assists and two steals. The six double-doubles are also tied for most in the nation entering this week's schedule. This week's honor is the second of the season for Reed who was a preseason second team All-BIG EAST selection.
