Spencer-White Finishes Second at UNA Spring Classic

Senior posts best finish of collegiate career
KILLEN, Ala. – DePaul senior Charlie Spencer-White posted the best finish of his collegiate career as he placed second at the North Alabama Spring Classic. His tournament score of 214 (-2) put him in sole possession of second while the Blue Demons finished in a tie for seventh on the team leaderboard.
Spencer-White turned in a 76 (+4) over the final 18 holes and led the DePaul contingent competing at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club. He was followed by Carlo Antonio Gatmaytan in a group in 25th place. Gatmaytan carded a 78 (+6) for a tournament score of 223 (+7).
Campbell Wolf, Grant Boyson, Perry Chong and Joe McCarthy completed the action for DePaul on Tuesday. Wolf was tied for 53rd following a 75 (+3) in the final round for a 54-hole total of 230 (+14). Boyson played as an individual and his round of 83 (+11) gave him a three-round score of 233 (+17) and in a tie for 60th.
Chong was tied for 65th and McCarthy finished in a tie for 70th place. Chong shot an 80 (+8) on Tuesday for a final score of 236 (+20) and McCarthy was at 238 (+22) after his final score of 81 (+9).
North Alabama won the team title with a total score of 862 (-2) while DePaul finished at 898 (+34) and tied with Southeastern Louisiana for seventh place. Aaron Jackson of North Alabama won medalist honors with a tournament total of 208 (-8) to finish ahead of Spencer-White.
DePaul returns to the Midwest and travels to Peoria for the Bradley Spring Invitational this weekend. The three-round, two-day event runs Saturday and Sunday at Weaverridge Golf Club in Peoria.
