Women's Tennis Set For a Pair of BIG EAST Matches

DePaul will host Marquette, travel to Xavier this weekend
CHICAGO -- The DePaul women's tennis program will return to action this weekend with a pair of BIG EAST matches on deck for the Blue Demons.
The first test of the weekend will come on Friday afternoon as the Marquette Golden Eagles visit Lakeshore Sport and Fitness for a 7 p.m. match. DePaul will then travel to Cincinnati for a 1 p.m. Sunday matinee versus the Xavier Musketeers.
Graduate student Keisha Clousing continues to lead DePaul at the No. 1 spot with a 7-4 dual season record along with a 2-0 mark in BIG EAST action. Clousing's teammates Aspasia Avgeri and Marija Jovicic also boast unbeaten records in conference play at 2-0.
In doubles action, the tandem of Maddie Yergler and Milica Tesic pace the Blue Demons with a 3-1 record and an unbeaten mark against conference opponents.
Marquette enters Friday's matchup with an overall record of 8-8 and a 1-1 conference mark. The Golden Eagles have dropped their last four matches, including a 3-4 setback at Xavier last weekend.
The Musketeers (15-2, 5-0 BIG EAST) head into weekend play with a 13 match win streak in tact. Xavier will host Providence on Friday evening before DePaul travels to the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility.
