
DePaul Wraps Up Spring Break Road Trip

Blue Demons fall short at William & Mary
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The DePaul men's tennis program wrapped up their three-match spring break trip on Saturday afternoon with a meeting against William & Mary.
The Tribe outlasted the visiting Blue Demons, 4-3, in a back-and-forth match on the courts of the Millie West Tennis Facility.
DePaul (10-10, 4-1 BIG EAST) jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage with Conor O'Meara and Luuk Wassenaar taking down Sebastian Quiros and Finbar Talcott 6-3 at No. 3 doubles and Christopher Casati and Boris Spanjaard knocking off Chen Ruo and Brenden Volk at No. 1, 7-6 (6).
Tamas Zador kept the momentum rolling with a 6-4, ret. over the Tribe's Jack Kelly at the No. 5 spot to put the Blue Demons ahead 2-0.
William & Mary clinched matches at the No. 2 and No. 4 positions to even the match 2-2.
Vito Tonejc delivered a straight set victory at No. 1 over Quiros, 6-4, 6-3 to put DePaul ahead once again.
Wassenaar and Tripp Tuff fell at the No. 2 and No. 6 spots respectively in grueling three-set matches as the Tribe clinched the match.
DePaul will return home to Lakeshore Sport and Fitness for the final time this spring as the Blue Demons welcome St. Johns on Friday for a 6:15 p.m. match and host Drake on Saturday with first serve set for 7 p.m.
