Blue Demons Three Shots off the Lead After Two Rounds

Every member of team in top 30 after 36 holes of play on Monday
CINCINNATI – The DePaul golf team is in third place and just three shots behind the leaders after two rounds on Monday at the Xavier Invitational. Every member of the team is in the top 30 led by Alex Vekich in the top 10 and Artemiy Yalovenko and Aarjav Patel in the top 15.
Vekich is tied for sixth through 36 holes while playing as an individual. The freshman posted a 71 (E) in the first round followed by a 73 (+2) in the afternoon session on Monday. Yalovenko and Patel are tied for 13th place as Yalovenko turned in scores of 76 (+5) and 70 (-1) while Patel carded a 71 (E) and 75 (+4).
Noah Kolar and Grant Boyson are in a group in 22nd place while Conor Glennon is tied for 27th place. Kolar finished the day with rounds of 73 (+2) and 74 (+3) and Boyson tallied a 72 (+1) and 75 (+4). Glennon turned in a 72 (+1) in the first round before tallying a 76 (+5) in the second round.
Morehead State holds the top spot on the team leaderboard with a two-round score of 579 (+11). The Blue Demons are just three shots behind with a total of 582 (+14) in third place while Northern Illinois is in second place at 581 (+13). Individually, Reece Nilsen from Northern Illinois holds first place after two rounds with a total score of 140 (-2).
