Donna Brown Selected to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Spectacular weekend performances lead Brown to first BIG EAST accolade of the season
CHICAGO – After a pair of outstanding performances on the weekend, DePaul senior middle blocker Donna Brown was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Brown was potent on both sides of the ball as DePaul (12-8, 5-3 BIG EAST) went 2-0 on the weekend with a sweep over Seton Hall followed by a five-set victory against St. John's.
The senior middle blocker averaged 2.75 kills per set and 1.13 blocks per set while hitting a staggering .559 on the weekend.
In the weekend-opener against the Pirates, Brown hammered home 13 kills on 19 error-less swings (.684) while totaling four blocks including two solo stuffs. Against the Red Storm, the Galloway, Ohio native posted nine kills and a team-high five blocks.
On the season, Brown is hitting a team-best .337 while averaging 2.19 kills per set and .89 blocks per set.
The Blue Demons return to the court on Wednesday, Oct. 20 with a short trip to Marquette set for 12 p.m. The road swing will continue with a match at Connecticut on Sunday, Oct. 24 with first serve at 1 p.m. CT.
