ITA Midwest Regional Next for Men's Tennis

Blue Demons part of 15-team field converging on East Lansing, Mich.
CHICAGO – The Blue Demons are headed to the alma mater of basketball great Magic Johnson looking to finish the fall with a flourish.
Eight men's tennis players will begin competition Thursday at the ITA Midwest Regional in East Lansing, Mich. hosted by Michigan State.
The five-day event will conclude the fall tournament season for men's tennis.
The DePaul doubles teams will consist of Vito Tonejc and Marino Jakic, Matteo Iaquinto and Sven Moser, Luuk Wassenaar and Lars Peder Minsaas along with Tripp Tuff and Leon Huck.
Tonejc and Jakic were selected to face some of the nation's best earlier this month at the prestigious ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
The 15-team Regional field will pose quite a challenge for coach Matt Brothers and his team with teams from Ohio State, Illinois, Marquette, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Western Michigan, Illinois State, Cleveland State, Youngstown State, Toledo and Chicago State.
Thursday's schedule includes singles qualifying rounds of 64 and 32 along with singles consolation matches. The tournament at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center will continue Friday, Saturday and Sunday with singles and doubles finals on Monday.
Iaquinto will arrive in East Lansing with a 9-3 singles record while Tuff is 7-2 this fall. Minsaas has posted a 6-3 mark and Tonejc is at 6-5. Moser carries a 7-6 record and Wassenaar is 3-2.
