Cross Country Travels to Iowa City for NCAA Midwest Regionals

Blue Demons join 34-team field in hopes of punching their ticket to Tallahassee
CHICAGO – The DePaul men's and women's cross country teams will head west for the 2021 NCAA Midwest Regionals set for Friday, November 12 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Both squads are set to compete on the Ashton Cross Country Course with the women's 6K scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m. CT and the men's 10K following at Noon.

The NCAA Midwest Regional will see a near 575 runners from 34 institutions with nine states represented. Just 31 teams will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. on Nov. 20. The top two finishers at each of the nine regional meets will automatically advance with 13 squads earning at-large selections.
The Blue Demons last saw action at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Oct. 29 in Carmel, Ind. The men's squad finished a program-best fifth place led by Dominic Bruce (25:54.7) and Shane Knanishu (26:04.5) finishing 33rd and 35th place, respectively.
In the women's 6K race, Olivia Borowiak picked up All-BIG EAST honors with a 20th place finish at a 21:42.5 mark. Nina Amicon crossed the finish 43rd at 23:00.4 as the the Blue Demons finished eighth as a team.
