Karl Selected To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll For Second Consecutive Week

Sophmore outside hitter averages 2.75 kills per set, 3.13 digs per set in 2-0 weekend
CHICAGO – For the second time in as many weeks, DePaul sophomore outside hitter Hanna Karl has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Karl led the Blue Demons to a pair of victories over league foes in the final weekend of the regular season. In a five-set win over Villanova, the Carlsbad, Calif. native posted her third-consecutive double-double with 15 kills and 17 digs while hitting .353. Karl tallied seven kills at a .300 clip to go along with eight digs and a pair of blocks in a sweep of Georgetown.
On the weekend, the outside hitter finished with 2.75 kills per set on an average .333 hitting percentage, 3.13 points per set, and 3.13 digs per set.
DePaul closed out the regular season 19-11 overall and 12-6 in BIG EAST play and will travel to Milwaukee for the 2021 BIG EAST Championship presented by Jeep Nov. 26-27. The Blue Demons have earned the No. 4 seed and will take on top-seeded Creighton on Friday at 3 p.m. CT from the Al McGuire Center.
