Jovicic Shoots for a Singles and Doubles Title on Sunday

Antonijevic and Kizelbasheva also advance to Redbird Invite doubles title match
NORMAL, Ill. – There could be a Championship Sunday on the horizon for the DePaul women's tennis team.
Leading the way is Marija Jovicic who will be playing for both a singles and doubles title at the Redbird Invite hosted by Illinois State.
By virtue of her 6-2, 6-0 victory over Krystal Grubb of IUPUI, Jovicic advanced to the title match against Kristina Pukhaeva of Chicago State.
In doubles, Jovicic teamed with Maddie Yergler to oust Kinga Kovacs and Maria Bezmenova of Bradley from the winners' bracket with a resounding 8-2 triumph. The Blue Demon tandem will go for the gold against Norhan Hesham and Elizabeth Mintusova of Saint Louis.
Coach Marisa Arce's team could "double-down" on doubles titles on Sunday as Lenka Antonijevic and Yuliya Kizelbasheva advance to the finals with an 8-4 verdict over Valparaiso's Claire and Olivia Czerwonka.
Kaya Rand earned a spot in the consolation final after taking down Eugenia Lee (University of Chicago) 7-5, 6-1. Opposing her on Sunday will be Laura Fitzgerald of the host Redbirds.
Yergler, Eleanor Nobbs and Valentina Martin dropped their semifinal singles matches on Saturday and will be playing for third place in their respective flights on Sunday.
Nobbs and Martin could also finish third in doubles when they clash with the Chicago State duo of Lizi Morgoshia and Diana Borodina.
