Gandhi Cruz Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Cruz leads the conference in saves and saves per game
CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer goalkeeper Gandhi Cruz was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, as announced by the conference. Cruz totaled nine saves last week in two conference games and allowed only one goal.
On Wednesday at Seton Hall, Cruz faced 20 shots with four being on goal. He finished the match with four saves and did not allow a goal.
The Hoyas fired off 16 shots on Saturday afternoon with six being on goal. Cruz totaled five saves and allowed one goal.
The Aurora, Ill. native leads the BIG EAST in saves per game with 4.50. Cruz is also tied for first in the conference in saves with 45.Â
This is Cruz's first BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll award of the season and fourth of his career.Â
