DePaul Athletics Launches Title IX Crowdfunding Effort

Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present and Empower the Future
CHICAGO -- DePaul Athletics is kicking off a crowdfunding effort to recognize and celebrate the impact of Title IX on Blue Demon Athletics. Alumni, donors and friends are asked to invest in DePaul's women's athletics by directly supporting their favorite program through the University's crowdfunding platform at inspire.depaul.edu/TitleIX.
Donors can select donation levels with special benefits which fit the impact they wish to make. The initiative will feature special giving levels to recognize the impact of the ground-breaking legislation.
"Making a gift to support our women student-athletes is the ultimate way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Title IX," Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy said. "DePaul has been blessed with a rich tradition of excellence in women's athletics built on the extraordinary vision of coaches and administrators and through the performances of so many incredible student-athletes."
The crowdfunding effort is underway and will continue until December 18. The celebration will be capped off with a special salute to Title IX at the women's basketball game against Louisville on December 21, 2022.
In recognition of the 50th anniversary, Athletics has set a goal of 300 gifts for the campaign. The 300-gift total represents an average of 50 gifts from each of DePaul's six varsity intercollegiate women's programs.
"To celebrate this anniversary, we want to set our goals high in support of our women's student-athletes," Peevy said. "Reaching our goal of 300 gifts will help us properly celebrate this momentous occasion and empower the future of our Blue Demon women's student-athletes.

In honor of the 37 words that transformed women's athletics, your gift will support the DePaul women's athletics program of your choice and you will receive a pair of tickets of the DePaul Women's Basketball vs. Louisville on December 21, 2022.

In honor of the fiftieth anniversary, your gift will support the DePaul women's athletics program of your choice and you will receive admission for two for the pregame reception at the women's basketball game vs. Louisville on December 21, 2022.

(This gift can be made through a pledge over five-years).
