CHICAGO - The DePaul men and women's cross country teams continue their championship portion of the season on Friday as they head to Colombia, Mo. to compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional meet.Â

34 schools, spanning across nine states, will be represented at the meet. There is no lack of talent at the Midwest Regionals, as the men's field features No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 6 Tulsa and No. 27 Iowa State. The women's side will see No. 3 Oklahoma State and No. 30 Northwestern at the competition. Other notable competitors include Loyola (Ill.), Badley and BIG EAST opponent Creighton.
The Blue Demons last outing was at the BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 28. The DePaul men's team were led to a fifth place finish by Shane Knanishu and Dominic Buce, tying the highest finish at the conference championship in school history.
The women's team finished in sixth, led by Olivia Borowiak and Nina Amicon. Borowiak finished in 11th place, the highest finish of any DePaul cross country athlete at the BIG EAST Championship. Amicon followed behind, earning a 34th place finish.
