Blue Demons Wrap Up Loyola Intercollegiate

Noah Kolar and Artemiy Yalovenko finish in the top 25
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Noah Kolar turned in the best round by a Blue Demon over three rounds as DePaul completed play on Tuesday at the Loyola Intercollegiate. Kolar and Artemiy Yalovenko led the team with a pair of top 25 finishes.
Kolar finished in a tie for 18th place with a three-round total of 214 (-2). His third round score of 69 (-3) was the best circuit at Palm Valley Golf Club by a Blue Demons during the tournament while his total score of 214 is a career best.
Yalovenko finished in a group in 24th place following a 72 (E) on Tuesday. His third round pushed his 54-hole total to 215 (-1) following rounds of 71 and 72 on Sunday and Monday.
Grant Boyson played as an individual and finished in a tie for 42nd place while Alex Vekich was tied for 73rd. Boyson finished with a 73 (+1) in the third round for a total score of 218 (+2) while Vekich turned in a 70 (-2) to finish at 224 (+8).
Aarjav Patel and Conor Glennon rounded out the team scoring for DePaul with Patel in a tie for 84th and Glennon finishing in group in 100th place. Patel posted a 78 (+6) in his third round for a tournament total of 227 (+11) and Glennon was one over with a 73 on Tuesday for a final score of 234 (+18).
Kevin Jegers of Middle Tennessee State earned medalist honors with a score of 200 (-16) while the Blue Raiders won the team title by one shot with a score of 835 (-29). DePaul finished in 11th place out of 18 teams with a tournament total of 875 (+11). The 875 team score is the best three-round tournament total of the season for the Blue Demons.
Up next for the Blue Demons is the Colin Montgomerie Invitational on March 7-8. The three-round, two-day event is hosted by Houston Baptist at August Pines Golf Club in Spring, Texas.
