Cincinnati matchup grounded by ice storm and dangerous travel conditions in Ohio
CHICAGO – A massive 2,000-mile winter storm impacting a large part of the country has forced cancellation of a DePaul women's tennis match against Cincinnati scheduled for Saturday at XS Tennis Village.
Winter storm Landon has turned into an ice storm in Cincinnati with wind-chill temperatures dipping below zero creating dangerous travel conditions and power outages.
This widespread storm forced cancellation of the DePaul men's tennis team's matches Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind. where heavy snowfall had Purdue Athletics staff members working remotely the last two days.
Coach Marisa Arce and her women's team will be back in action Sunday with a 5 p.m. match at Northern Illinois in DeKalb.
