DePaul Athletics Launches Play4Kay Assist Challenge

During the month of February, DePaul Athletics will be hosting the Play4Kay Assist Challenge. Blue Demon fans can pledge a donation for every assists the DePaul women's basketball team makes during the month of February.
Donations are made directly to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund as a part of a nationwide challenge, with the team who raises the most money being crowned champion. DePaul's annual Play4Kay game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4 at Wintrust Arena. The Blue Demons will take on Xavier in a 3 p.m. C.T. tip.
Cancer survivors and fighters are encouraged to fill out the form to get two (2) complimentary tickets, plus additional tickets are available at the group rate ($10).

Play4Kay and Kay Yow Fund
Play4Kay is a yearly event started by former NC State Hall of Fame Coach Kay Yow. Yow began the tradition in 2006 as a way to bring communities together and honor cancer warriors in the fight against all cancers affecting women.
The game benefits the Kay Yow Cancer fund which was founded in 2007, from the vision of Kay Yow. Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and passed away on Jan. 24, 2009, after facing her third bout with the disease. Before her death, she joined forces with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation for Cancer Research for form the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved, and unifying people for a common cause.
