Blue Demons Begin ITA Midwest Championships

DePaul is one of twenty-two teams in attendance
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The boys in blue are set to resume October tournament action, as they head to the University of Michigan for the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament. The competition is set to begin today, and run through Monday, Oct. 23, indoors at the Varsity Tennis Center.
The winner of each draw will automatically advance to the ITA National Championships, which are set to take place Nov. 2-3, at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif. 64 of the nation's best singles players and doubles teams each will be featured.
DePaul's newest addition, Larentiu Mandocescu, has earned a spot into the event's main draw. Matteo Iaquinto, Sven Moser, Leon Huck, Shourya Verma, Jona Gitschel, and Elias Anwar (Alternate) will compete today in the qualifying rounds.

Thursday, October 19
8 AM: Qualifying Singles, two rounds
Friday, October 20
8 AM: Qualifying Singles, one round
To Follow: Doubles Main Draw, three rounds (8 game pro set)
Saturday, October 21
8 AM: Doubles Main Draw (8 game pro set)
To Follow: Singles Main Draw, two rounds
Sunday, October 22
9 AM: Doubles Main Draw (2 of 3 sets, match breaker for third)
To Follow: Singles Main Draw, two rounds
Monday, October 23
9 AM: Doubles Main Draw (2 of 3 sets, match breaker for third)
