Blue Demons Head to South Bend for Bobby Bayliss Invitational

DePaul looks to bounce back after an 11-17 record at WMU Invite
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – After having last week off, DePaul travels to Notre Dame for the Bayliss Invite. The tournament will take place outside at the Courtney Tennis Center, Oct. 6-8. Schools in attendance include Drake, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Western Michigan, and DePaul.
Making the trip east to South Bend includes juniors, Matteo Iaquinto, Jona Gitschel, Sven Moser, and sophomore striker Elias Anwar. Moser comes into the tournament with wins in each of his last singles and doubles matches.
The weekend opens with two rounds of singles on Friday, split between two different groups. Those playing in Group A will compete at 10:00 A.M., and again at 2:00 P.M. Group B singles matches will take place at 11:30 A.M and 3:30 P.M., respectively.
To start the morning for the Blue Demons, Moser will take on Matt Clegg, representing the Drake Bulldogs. At 11:30 A.M. Iaquinto will face off against Purdue's Soham Purohit, Anwar against Drake's Will Blevins, and Gitschel looks to close out the morning on Matej Kajzer of WMU. The tournament schedules for Saturday and Sunday are TBD.

DePaul will hit the road again for the ITA Midwest Regional tournament in Ann Arbor, Mich., Oct. 18-23.
