CHICAGO – For the second-straight season, Olivia Borowiak brought home All-Region honors as DePaul cross country completed the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, Friday morning. Borowiak led the women's team to an 18th place finish, while the men finished in 21st.

"On the women's side, Olivia and Nina had a great day," said coach Geoff Wayton. "They both ran really aggressive and competitive races. Olivia followed the race plan through on a tough course. Nina did too - she went for it, hung on and achieved her highest place in regionals ever. I'm really proud of both of them. I thought we could have been as high as 15th place, but 18th is still one of our higher places in program history. On the men's side, our top-four did well. Mason Krieg had a great race, our five, six, seven were just too far back. It's time now to focus our efforts towards a great track season. After a season of ups and downs, the athletes are all healthy and are excited for the upcoming indoor track season."

Borowiak finished in 15th with a final time of 20:58.3, followed by Nina Amicon in 42nd with a final time of 21:35.3.

Meghan Dieball and Madison Volz earned 102nd and 149th place, respectively, with times of 22:26.4 and 22:12.6. Isabella Orozco rounded out DePaul's top-five finishers with a final time of 23:52.4.

On the men's side, Tommy Elwood led DePaul in the 10k with a 72nd place finish and final time of 32:13.1. Damian Rodriguez was the second Blue Demon to cross the finish line, taking 84th with a final time of 32:24.4.

Griffin Lehnhardt and Mason Kreig finished in 87th and 94th with final times of 32:25.6 and 32:30.4, respectively. Joe Knanishu rounded out DePaul's top five finishers with a final time of 33:18.4.
