Jill Pressly and Rachel Krasowski Earn All-BIG EAST Honors

The seniors led the Blue Demons on both offense and defense throughout the season
CHICAGO - DePaul volleyball seniors Jill Pressly and Rachel Krasowski were named to the 18-person All-BIG EAST Team,, as announced by the BIG EAST Tuesday evening. All awards are voted on by the 11 league head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes.Â
Pressly earned unanimous All-BIG EAST for the second-straight season and overall honors for the fourth consecutive year. Pressly leads the conference in kills per set (4.42) and points per set (4.94) through the regular season. The senior outside hitter recorded 15 double-doubles throughout the season and recorded nine matches with 20-plus kills, including a season-high 26 kills at UConn on Oct. 1.Â
This marks Krasowski's first All-BIG EAST honors of her career. The senior libero led the conference in digs per set (5.02) during the regular season and ranks 21st nationally. The Orland Park, Ill. native tallied 24 matches with double-figure digs, including nine matches with over 20 digs and three matches with 30 or more. Krasowski was tabbed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice during her senior campaign, and recorded a season-high 35 digs at Butler on Oct. 21.
The Blue Demons concluded the regular season with a record of 16-13 (9-9 BIG EAST) and makes their way back to the BIG EAST Tournament for the second time in three seasons. DePaul opens postseason play against No. 4-seed Xavier on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee, Wis. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m. CT. The BIG EAST Tournament First Round will be streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports.Â
