DePaul XC Competes at NCAA Midwest Regionals

CHICAGO – DePaul cross country travels to Stillwater, Okla. for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, Friday, Nov. 10, hosted by Oklahoma State. Fans can keep up with the live stats here.Â
ÂThe women's race is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. with a 6k on the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the men's team following in the 10K race at 11:30 a.m.Â
ÂOn the women's side, DePaul is expected to be led by Olivia Borowiak, Nina Amicon, Meghan Dieball, Madison Volz, Isabella Orozco, Lesley Viveros and Violet Harper. The women's team most recently collected a sixth-place finish at this year's BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Oct. 28. Borowiak and Amicon took home All-BIG EAST awards for their top-20 finishes.Â
ÂOn the men's side, Tommy Elwood, Damian Rodriguez, Griffin Lehnhardt, Michael Ronzone, William Previdi, Joe Knanishu and Mason Kreig are all set to represent the Blue Demons in the 10K. The men's team also placed sixth at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships, with Elwood pacing the team with a 31st-place finish.Â
ÂLast year at the NCAA Midwest Regionals, the men's team took 15th place and the women's team earned 16th overall. Borowiak clinched an automatic bid into the 2022 NCAA National Championship race after finishing in sixth place. The Blue Demon took home All-Region honors and set a new DePaul record in the 6K with a final time of 20:13.8. Her performance was the best finish at the NCAA Regionals for DePaul since Erin Moffett placed second in 2002. Â
