DePaul Hosts Butler on Wednesday at Wintrust Arena

Blue Demons won last meeting, 78-72, on Dec. 4 at Hinkle Fieldhous
CHICAGO – DePaul begins a stretch of four games in seven days on Wednesday, February 8 when Butler visits Wintrust Arena at 7 p.m. The BIG EAST clash is set to stream on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports with Peter Ferreri and Patricia Babcock-McGraw on the call. After a 93-48 win over Xavier on Saturday, the Blue Demons (12-11, 5-7) look to pick up momentum as the BIG EAST schedule heads down the final stretch in the month of February.
In the 45-point victory against the Musketeers, DePaul saw four Blue Demons finish in double figures and the team dish out a season-high 29 assists. All-American forward Aneesah Morrow's 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals outing led the Blue Demons. Morrow was most recently named to the Naismith Player of the Year Midseason Top 30 and is averaging 25.6 points per game (4th nationally) while grabbing 11.6 boards a contest which is good for (8th nationally). Her 18 double doubles this season is fourth in Division I.
Junior guard Darrione Rogers is averaging 17.1 points per game which is top-five in the BIG EAST while expanding her all-around game to rank third in assists (5.5) and free-throw percentage (.843). In league games, Kendall Holmes is pouring in 10.4 points a contest while leading the conference in efficiency behind the arc at a .443 clip.
Collectively, the Blue Demons pace the BIG EAST in rebounds a game at 41.13 in addition to grabbing a league-best 9.1 steals per game. On the season, DePaul is 10-4 in games when outrebounding their opponent.
About Butler
The Bulldogs are 7-16 and 2-12 in BIG EAST in the first year of the Austin Parkinson era. Butler is coming off a 20-point loss to then-No. 19 Villanova. Prior to the meeting with the Wildcats, the Bulldogs dropped a pair of close contests to St. John's and Marquette by a combined margin of four points.
Rachel McLimore leads the Butler offense with a team-best 10.8 points per game while dishing out 55 assists on the season. Sydney Janes is averaging 10.1 points a contest while providing 4.3 rebounds.
As a team, Butler ranks sixth in Division I in three-point field goal percentage (.383) while connecting on 7.6 three's per game.

Morrow, Daye Pick Up BIG EAST Honors
DePaul swept the BIG EAST Weekly Awards on Monday as Aneesah Morrow earned Player of the Week honors while Tara Daye was picked Freshman of the Week.
Monday marked Morrow's sixth Player of the Week selection in her career after a week where the sophomore led the BIG EAST in scoring with 32.0 points per game while adding in 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals. It was the first weekly accolade for the freshman Daye who seized the opportunity of stepping into a starting role and averaged 7.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists including a career-best 12 helpers in the win over Xavier on Saturday.
