DePaul Conquers Xavier 2-5

CINCINNATI – DePaul men's tennis is back in the win column after conquering Xavier 2-5 on Sunday. Xavier initially took the lead after winning the doubles point but the Blue Demons fought hard on the singles courts to comeback and win it all.

After Xavier captured the doubles point the Blue Demons dominated the singles courts. Sven Moser found the equalizer with his 6-3, 6-4 win against Shashank Reddy. Shourya Verma followed up with a 6-3, 7-6 (10-7) victory on the No. 3 court to give DePaul the lead.

Up 2-1, Aleksa Krivokapic won his match in a hard-fought three sets versus Marco Pennelli to further DePaul's lead. Matteo Iaquinto secured the victory for the Blue Demons after defeating his opponent 7-5, 7-5 for the fourth point.

The competition continued and Leon Huck earned the final win for DePaul after conquering his match at the No.1 spot 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5.

The Blue Demons will travel to Richmond, VA for a matchup against VCU on Mar. 31 at 10 a.m. CT.
