Oden was a critical part of the Cowboys 2022 NCAA Tournament run that included a 25-win season, the most for the program since 2015. In his three seasons in Laramie, Oden appeared in 85 games with 61 starts. He has averaged 7.3 points and 3.7 rebounds as a career 46.5 percent shooter from the floor. A versatile player with length, Oden shot 35.2 percent from three-point range last season. He scored a career-high 28 points in the team's final regular-season game against Nevada on 9-of-13 shooting.
Prior to his collegiate career, Oden played one season at Sunrise Christian Academy where he helped lead the program to a No. 6 ranking in the final National Prep Coaches Poll. He began his high school career in Chicago at St. Rita High School, leading the team to a 24-9 record as a senior and a Chicago Catholic League title.
Oden's parents, John and Estee, both attended DePaul. John played on the men's basketball team for two seasons from 2000-02.
