DePaul Held Off by Hoyas 5-2

WASHINGTON, D.C. – DePaul Men's tennis drops to 9-14 after being held off by Georgetown 5-2 on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Demons captured the doubles point, but the Hoyas fought hard on the singles courts to come back and win it all.

The Blue Demons started the competition off strong after winning the doubles point. Duo Leon Huck and Pablo Torres Almeida won their match 6-2. Elias Anwar and Jona Gitschel earned the other victory on court three with a 6-4 win.

On the singles side Georgetown started to collect wins. Leon Huck claimed a 7-6, 7-6 win for DePaul on the No. 2 court. Torres and Anwar both took their opponents to three sets, but the Hoyas came back and earned the match winning four points before DePaul could respond.
