Blue Demons Set for 2023 BIG EAST Championship

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The DePaul golf team is set to tee off at the 2023 BIG EAST Golf Championships, April 28-30. The Championship is set to be played for the first time at the Riverton Pointe Golf Course in Hardeeville, S.C. The 6,979-yard course has a par 72.
DePaul's lineup is slated as Noah Kolar, Artemiy Yalovenko, Cameron Karney, Conor Glennon and Billy Gneiser. It will be the third BIG EAST Championship for Glennon and Yalovenko, second for Kolar and first for Gneiser and Karney. Yalovenko led DePaul in 2022 with a 17th place finish while Glennon finished 10th back in 2021.
The teams will participate in 54 holes over three days before the BIG EAST crowns a team champion on Sunday. Should the individual champion not be a member of the winning team, they will also earn an automatic spot in the NCAA Championship.
Play is scheduled to begin Friday and Saturday at 7 a.m. CT. On Sunday, play begins at 7:30 a.m. Live stats will be available on GolfStat.com. GameKast Live, a golf streaming service, will provide coverage. Users must form an account, but there is no charge for the service this year.
DePaul enters the tournament sixth in the rankings. The Blue Demons have twice finished in second place at the tournament in 2019 and 2015. DePaul finished in the top three in five of the last six tournaments during the stretch of 2014-2019.
