DePaul Women’s Basketball to Celebrate 50th Season in 2023-24

CHICAGO – The DePaul women's basketball program will celebrate its 50th varsity season in 2023-24 and is set to honor the program's storied tradition and rich history with various initiatives throughout the year.
DePaul played its first full varsity season in 1974-75 and has since went on to win 969 games, amass 40 winning seasons, claim a combined 21 conference titles and make 32 postseason appearances including 26 NCAA Tournament bids while advancing to the Sweet 16 on four occasions.
"50 seasons is a special milestone because 50 seasons represents 50 seasons of great people," said head coach Doug Bruno, who is entering his 38th season of leading his alma mater. "The foundation of DePaulBall is strength up the middle, head, heart, and guts. This program has been built on the backs of so many intelligent, hard-working women. We are so excited about celebrating 50 seasons by remembering so many players, teams and coaches who have given their entire selves to our DePaul women's basketball program."
