Blue Demons Sign Gina Davorija for 2025

CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball announced on Thursday the signing of Gina Davorija for the 2025-26 season. The Glenview, Ill. native will bring high-level high school, AAU and international experience to the Blue Demons program.
"We are very excited to add Gina Davorija to our women's basketball team. We always want to sign the best talent in Chicago and feel we have done so with Gina" said Interim Head Coach Jill M. Pizzotti.
"Gina is a dynamic guard who can score at the rim, shoot three's, has a mid-range game and has a special ability to distribute the ball. Her vision is outstanding! Gina has done a remarkable job representing Glenbrook South, her Full Package AAU Club, and the Serbian National Team. We are proud of her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her in a Blue Demon uniform!"
Davorija has amassed 1,000+ points in her high school career at Glenbrook South. The 5-9 guard was named 2024 4A IBCA Third Team All-State as a junior while also collecting AP Honorable Mention All-State honors following the 2023-24 season.
In the summer of 2024, Davorija represented the Serbian National Team at the 2024 U18 EURO Championships in Matosinhos, Portugal. She averaged 10 points per game along with four rebounds as the Serbians finished with a bronze medal to qualify for the 2025 World Cup. Davorija added a team-high 18 points in the team's 68-66 win over Italy in group play.
While playing with Full Package, Davorija averaged 16 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists per game en route to being named to the 3SSB All-Second Team and earning First Team All-Defense accolades.
