CHICAGO – DePaul volleyball had four student-athletes receive regular season recognition, as announced by the BIG EAST conference Tuesday afternoon, after a vote of the league's head coaches. Rachel Krasowski was named BIG EAST Libero of the Year, while Aly Kindelberger, Audrey Klemp, Jill Pressly, and Krasowski were named to the All-BIG EAST team.
Krasowski was named 2024 BIG EAST Libero of the Year, the first time a Blue Demon has ever received the honor. The Orland Park, Ill. native led the league in digs per set with 4.75 and a total of 328. Her digs per set average ranks 50th among all Division I players. The graduate student tallied 79 assists in BIG EAST matches, good for 1.14 per set. She collected three BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week awards, and two BIG EAST Honor Roll selections on the season.
Krasowski has left her mark in the Blue Demon record books as well, officially earning the title of all-time digs leader at DePaul, with 2,378 digs and counting. She is DePaul volleyball's first major award winner since Kara Jakusz won Conference USA Setter of the Year in 2000. Along with the title, Krasowski earns her second consecutive nod to the All-BIG EAST team, and first unanimous selection.
Outside hitter Jill Pressly added her third consecutive selection to the All-BIG EAST team, leading league play with 303 total kills and 4.27 per set. She was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week three times and added five BIG EAST Honor Roll awards. In 2024, Pressly reached third on the DePaul all-time kills list, achieving double figure kills in all but one match.
Middle blocker Aly Kindelberger earned her first selection to the All-BIG EAST team, after a standout season that saw her earn a career-high 22 kills against Villanova on November 9, and a career-high nine blocks against Georgetown on November 3. Kindelberger was one of the most efficient attackers in the league, recording 156 kills in BIG EAST matches at a .311 clip. She also tallied 93 total blocks and 61 digs in her final campaign.
Audrey Klemp also earned her first All BIG-EAST nod after a strong season that saw her notch 19 matches in double-figure kills. Her 3.10 kills per set were good for 12th in the conference, while she was the 20th most efficient hitter in the league, with a .234 hitting percentage.
